We started our journey towards Seward today, Jul 2, aiming to get there by tomorrow afternoon. We’re currently taking a lunch break at Coast Pizza on the Seward Hwy with 40km to go till we set camp for the rest of the day at Granite Creek Campground.
It was raining when we left Anchorage this morning but the stoke level was high. 😊 Relu decided that in order to stay warm he needed to carry most of the heavy stuff. I had no problem with that whatsoever.
The Seward Hwy is windy but incredibly beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. The traffic is a bit of a nuisance right outside of Anchorage but it gets better as you leave the city behind.
And I’m currently working on improving my multitasking skills: eating the best steak and cheese pizza I’ve ever hand and writing this update. I forgot how hungry I get on the bike which will only make this trip more expensive!
